A Capy’s Feelings Book · Free printable
Nine Capy cards from Capy’s Rainy Kite Day, from excited to joyful. When a child cannot find the words yet, they can point instead.
PDF, 2 pages, about 2 MB. No email needed. Page one is in full color, page two is the same nine cards in line art so your child can color their own set.

The same path Capy walks in the book, from a kite with no wind to a kite flying high. Pointing is easier than talking when a child is already upset.

In Capy’s Rainy Kite Day, Papa and Capy have the kite all ready for the meadow hill. Then morning comes with rain tapping on the window, and Capy feels floppy, like a kite with no wind. Papa does not promise sunshine or hurry the feeling away. He sits close, names it, says he feels disappointed too, and lets Capy pick what to do while they wait. Oh well, maybe next time. And next time, the kite flies high.
